Food for Thought: Snacks in Your Tank Bag

I am a big proponent for carrying food on my bike when I ride.  It doesn’t matter how long my ride will be — an hour, a few days — you’re guaranteed to always find an array of snacks in my bag, from carrot sticks to granola bars to chocolate (yes, we all know I’m a chocoholic…).

This article from Adventure Rider, first published on May 3, 2021, speaks to the benefits of carrying snacks/food when you head out for a ride — even if you think you might not need it.

From the article: “On a long-distance motorcycle trip, food availability isn’t always a given – and definitely not quality food, which is why carrying some snacks may be the next best thing. But snacks aren’t just about preventing hunger; done right, snacks can help you stay alert and focused during the long hours in the saddle and avoid brain fog and fatigue.”
